Understanding the Publishing Process
It's quick and easy to begin.
Please fill out our contact form on our welcome page with any
questions or email kristen@bravadopublishing.com. We can discuss
your project and publishing options, plus you'll receive a detailed
information file including a sample contract.
Files may be emailed in many formats, including Microsoft Word,
Works, and Open Office to kristen@bravadopublishing.com. Files may
also be mailed on flash drives or CD.
Once payment is received in the mail, we begin work!
Your novel is edited, if you've chosen this option. This takes four to six
weeks for a short novel under 200 pages, and more for longer works.

A proof read takes around month, also depending on book length. Next
comes text layout and formatting. During this time, you may submit
your cover ideas. Cover design is the next step.
You'll received an emailed copy of your novel and cover to approve both.
Once your book is proofed, formatted, has a cover, and you've approved
it, we're ready to go to press. The author sets the retail price and
decides on a discount to offer book retailers such as Amazon and
bookstores. You can order copies of your book directly from Bravado
Publishing within days.
It appears for sale online in about two weeks, first on Amazon.com and
then other online retailers. A month later, your book is in the industry
system so that bookstores can order copies upon your request. Readers
may also order copies from any chain bookstore.
Now it's time to promote your book and enjoy being a published author!
